There are two types of membership. A serving or retired member of the Police Service (officer or support staff) can apply for Full Membership. Any Christian who supports the aims of the CPA can become an Associate Member. First, you must read and agree with the CPA Basis of Faith and the Aims of the CPA. Then, download either
Your completed application form should be sent to your local Branch Leader. If there is not a local Branch in your area then we will be pleased to receive the application direct at CPA HQ

We are an association of Christians who are members of the Police Service. Many have found that it is possible to be a committed Christian in the Police Service. However, with the rigours of shift work and other commitments, it is often difficult for officers to be fully involved in the life of their church. We believe that fellowship with other believers is important and especially with those who understand the problems associated with police work.
Today there is a branch of the CPA in the majority of the Police Services of the United Kingdom. We have contacts with similar organisations throughout the world. The CPA is run for members of the police service by members of the Police Service.
Membership helps focus your faith, provides fellowship as a Christian in the police and increases the representation of the CPA as an official staff support group. Membership is required for office holders within the CPA.

In an age of growing lawlessness, the police stand in the front line. All police officers and staff need the support of their community. Any Christian who has a desire to see the kingdom of God advanced in the Police Service, and supports the aim of the CPA, can become an Associate Member.
Technically, Catherine Gurney, founder of the CPA, would have been an Associate Member, which goes to show the value of this type of membership.
There are three main ways you can support the work of the CPA
- Become an Associate. You will be kept informed of meetings and are welcome to attend. You would be encouraged to support the work prayfully anf financially.
- If you cannot commit yourself in such a way, you can prayerfully follow the work of the Association.
- Alternatively, you may feel moved by what you have heard and wish to support the work by a one-off donation
