Welcome to our Branch

"Welcome to the South Wales Branch of the CPA. In October 2008 the Christian Police Association was re-launched after a number of years in dormancy. After many requests by Christian Police Officers and Staff to meet with each other again, the South Wales Branch was launched at HQ in BRIDGEND. Due to this, and further interest since, we aim to meet quarterly throughout the year and will update the website and all those on our mailing list with further details accordingly.

If you are a employee of the SWP, you can find our association webpage on CONNECT under the tool bar 'Lifestyle' and then 'Associations'. If you are not an employee of the SWP, you can find a webpage on the SWP website under the toolbar 'Diversity' and then 'Associations'."

Branch News

Our Family Day was held on Saturday 28th August near the beach at Ogmore-By-Sea and included pony rides and a buffet lunch. The latest news was shared and relationships developed.

I met with the 2 new Assistant Chief Constables on 2nd September and also took part in representing the CPA in a new DVD put together by the Equality & Diversity Department soon to be released.

We are launching the CARE FOR THE FAMILY project in October 2010. This involves putting 5 notice boards up in the largest stations across the force area with 12 books in each board, providing Christian based literature that will support our colleagues with the stress and effect our job has on our lives and families.

Our next meeting is at 19:30hrs on 8th November 2010 at WEST Bible College, Bridgend. Directions to the College can be found on their website.
