Welcome to our Branch
"‘On and Off Duty’ February 1884 reports that “on Thursday 13th December 1883, 40 members of the (Leicester) Borough Police Force took part at a tea at Melbourne Hall and this was provided by the Pastor, the Reverend F B Meyer and after the meeting a few men who wished to join the CPA remained behind to make arrangements for the formation of a branch.”
Since those early days of CPA our Branch has had a varied life but still remains a blessing to many. We had the HQ of CPA UK based in Leicester for many years, until its move to Bedford at the beginning of 2005.
We usually meet as a Branch every two or three months, in a variety of forums, to provide opportunity for fellowship and support. We are involved in a variety of initiatives and our newsletter is published every three months on the internet.
