"The Avon and Somerset Branch of CPA has quite a dramatic
background -formed in May 1982 and inaugural meeting in
the gymnasium of Trinity Rd Police Station in Bristol.
This was shortly after the first major riots on mainland
Britain for many years, in the nearby St Pauls area covered
by that station - something good was happening at a time of crisis!
Billy Burns, our first Branch Leader, was shot in the mouth at point blank range a year later and miraculously survived which has led to an amazing ongoing testimony of forgiveness and reconciliation with his attacker who had received a life sentence.
We are an active group and over the years have hosted two National Conferences, most recently 2005 at Bath, working with Billy Graham and other evangelists as well as the Christian community.
We are keen to network with new enquirers and be a help to strengthening you in your faith and witness in the job or as a supporter-do please get in touch."

I am glad to be able to report that we now have the start of a leadership team. 3 people have agreed to assist me in guiding and moving the Avon and Somerset Constabulary branch of the CPA forward.
Please take the time to pray for:
Stephen Whittern
Allen Spencer
Robert Henbra
Who all join myself and Paul Bright in the leadership team.
Our branch is planning to send Allen Spencer to Nairobi as a representative of our branch of the CPA... please pray that God's hand is upon this.
